Going Green is in the BAG! We are very pleased to offer a chance to do something good for the environment while helping our schools at the same time. Thanks to the generosity of Adam and Lynn Horowitz and the Harvard General Store, we are offering Reusable Grocery Bags custom designed for our community for sale to Harvard residents. If you don’t already use Reusable Grocery Bags, you will be amazed once you try them how much easier they are to handle than plastic or paper bags. And each reusable bag will replace thousands of bags in its lifetime.
For a donation of $20 to the Harvard PTO, you get 10 bags which is just about right for the average family. Most stores give you a 5-10 cent credit when you shop with your own bags so you’ll get a payback pretty quickly. Get two sets so you have one for each car – nothing worse than getting to the store and realizing your bags are in the other car!
Bags are on order and are due to be available towards end of June. You will be notified via email and can pick them up at the Harvard General Store.
Online shoppers Many Scrip vendors accept Scrip gift cards on their websites. See details on the Scrip pages. Box Tops for Education also has a cash back for online shopping program. See the Box Tops pages for more information.
Office Depot Office Depot's Back to Schools program gives 5% of all purchases of school supplies to our schools! Both Harvard Elementary and Bromfield are registered, and are on the list at the store. This program goes on throughout the year.
